Back Porch BBQ

We had a big day at the New Holland Summerfest taking 5th place overall.  This was much, much better than any of our previous results.  Individual placings were:

• Chicken – 7th
• Ribs – 10th
• Pork – 4th
• Brisket – 23rd (one day brisket, you will be ours).

We just finished up the Berks BBQ Bash in Leesport, PA. Sixteen teams competed in chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. Although this was not a KCBS sacntioned event, most KCBS rules were in effect. We took second place in chicken (our first call!) and last in everything else. Back to the drawing board on “everything else”.
